The Bandhavgarh National Park is located in the north eastern border of Madhya Pradesh at the central part of India.Bandhavgarh,located in Umaria District, Madhya Pradesh, steeped in historical and mythological significance, derives its name from the ancient fort atop the Vindhya hills, believed to have been gifted to Lakshmana by Lord Rama. This “brother’s fort” is a relic of Treta Yuga, showcasing ancient human activities and architectural feats. The Bandhavgarh reserve is spread over 1536 sq. km. which includes the 716 sq. km. core zone and 820 sq. km. of the buffer zone. The altitude of the national park lies between 400 to 800 metres.Over centuries, it saw rule by dynasties like Bharihas, Vakataks, Sengars, Kalchuris, and Baghels, who later shifted their capital to Rewa. Once a royal hunting ground, it became a national park in 1968, famed today for its tiger population and conservation efforts, including resettling villages and combating poaching.

Day 1 – On arrival at Umaria railway station, After a warm welcome on the station, you will straightway take you to pre-booked resort. Check in at the resort and get freshen up. Enjoy mouth-watering lunch that will be served in the in-house restaurant of the resort. Rest of the day is free for leisure. During your leisure time, you can sit beside the pool and enjoy the fresh air or enjoy leisure walk in and around the resort premises. Later in the evening, enjoy hot coffee/tea with some delicious evening snacks. Take pleasure of dinner followed by an overnight stay in your resort in Bandhavgarh National Park.
Day 2 – Today, we will start our day quite early in the morning to experience an early morning Jungle Safari. Before leaving for this adventure activity. This morning jungle safari in Bandhavgarh National Park will be very exciting especially for all those who will be visiting for the first time and leave you with many unforgettable moments. After enjoy the safari for about 4 hours, we will return back to the resort for lunch. Thereafter, you can rest for some time and again get ready for another safari tour i.e. the evening safari tour which will begin at 14:30 PM in winter and 15:30 pm in summer. This way, once again you can have that kicking experience that you have experienced prior in the morning. The duration of evening safari is three hours. So, after completing your evening jungle safari, return back to the resort and have your evening tea. Enjoy lavish dinner followed by an overnight stay in the resort.
Day 3 – In the morning after breakfast, we will check- out of the resort to drive back to Umaria railway station to board the train for your onward journey.

Morning was overwhelming with Tala while evening was loaded with awesomeness with Magadhi. Both zones have entirely different experiences. Ofcourse, our main aim is to click beautiful unique species of birds. If there would be tiger spotting amidst then it would be also enriching for us. After lunch break we rested for a while and in the evening rushed again to the jungle for a more worthwhile moment with birds both resident and migratory. Late evening be at your hotel and take your tempting dinner.
Day 3: Morning Jeep Safari and Transfer to Umaria Railway Station
This last day of your trip is amazing with open jeep safari. After the 3 hours jungle safari, we moved back to the hotel in the afternoon then after check-out from the hotel.

I booked a guide for a day, for this itinerary:
1. Victoria Memorial
2. St. Paul's Cathedral
3. Old Chinatown
4. Magen David Synagogue
5. Armenian Church of the Holy Nazareth

They asked for Rs. 2,200 for the guide for this itinerary. I didn't bargain, paid the advance.
The guide turned out to be a novice. Didn't know anything.
What actually happened:
1. St. Paul's Cathedral
2. Victoria Memorial
3. Jorashanko Thakurbari. The guide didn't know which place-pin to put for the taxi drop, the taxi driver corrected us en route. The guide didn't know when Rabindranath Tagore was born or when he died or what he died of, or what he was renowned for.
4.. Magen David Synagogue: a 1km walk guided by Google Maps. Was closed when we got there. Our guide was flummoxed.
5. Armenian Church of the Holy Nazareth. Was closed. Has been closed since the COVID Lockdown in 2020! The Ryask team took my booking without telling me this!
