Traveling by Road
One can reach Gangasagar by road traveling from Kolkata through the Diamond Harbour Road (NH-12). Travellers have to reach Harwood Point (Lot No. 8) near Kakdwip, from where the frequent ferry service takes place to Sagar Island. Private cars, buses, and cabs are readily available from Kolkata.
Traveling by Train
Take a local train from Sealdah Railway Station up to Kakdwip or Namkhana and then travel through the ferry service to Gangasagar Island.
Traveling by Air
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport is the nearest one. From the airport, one can hire a car and travel to Kakdwip, from where you can travel by ferry service to reach Gangasagar Island.
