This includes an approximately 125 KM trip along the Diamond Harbour road towards Harwood Point (Lot No. 8). Passengers embark at this point in the Muriganga boat en route to Kachuberia. Ferries are generally available in the early hours of the morning, running every 20-30 minutes subject to tides & crowd volume.
Once you reach Kachuberia, take a beautiful ride of about 30 KM on the island to Gangasagar. Go to the Kapil Muni Ashram for darshan and then take a holy dip in the merging point of the river Ganges and the Bay of Bengal. It is advised that one should visit early in the morning. Devotees always keep a change of clothes in their dry bags.
After darshan and puja are done, come back the same way by ferry from Kachuberia to Lot 8 and proceed back calmly to Kolkata/Howrah. It would be possible for you to arrive there by around 6:00 PM.
