In and Around Kolkata
Prinsep Ghat – Built in 1841 during British rule.Famous for its Palladian architecture and riverfront promenade. Excellent spot for evening walks and boat rides.
Millennium Park – A landscaped park along the riverfront near B.B.D. Bagh. Offers a scenic view of the Hooghly River and the Vidyasagar Setu.
Howrah Bridge (Rabindra Setu) & Vidyasagar Setu – Iconic bridges spanning the river. Architectural marvels and symbolic of Kolkata.
Belur Math (Belur) – Headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission. Located on the west bank of the river. Serene ambiance and a blend of Hindu, Christian, and Islamic architectural styles.
Dakshineswar Kali Temple – Situated directly on the eastern bank. Historic 19th-century temple built by Rani Rashmoni. Frequented by Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.
Nimtala Ghat & Babu Ghat – Sacred ghats used for cremation and religious rituals. Nimtala is historically associated with the cremation of Rabindranath Tagore.

Serampore – Once a Danish colony (Frederiksnagore). St. Olav’s Church, Serampore College, and the Danish Tavern.

Nabadwip – Spiritual epicenter of the Vaishnavite tradition. Birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Boating on the Hooghly around Nabadwip is spiritually and scenically fulfilling.
Mayapur – International Headquarters of ISKCON. On the opposite bank of Nabadwip. Famous for the colossal Vedic Planetarium and vibrant Vaishnava culture.
