Day 1 – Kolkata to Sundarban and Holi Celebration
Your Holi special Sundarban trip begins in the morning. Guests should report at 7:30 AM at Science City, while the journey starts at around 8:00 AM.
First, enjoy refreshments during the journey. There will also be a short tea break before continuing towards Godkhali Jetty. After reaching Godkhali, board the boat and begin your scenic journey through the rivers Gomor and Durgadhwani before entering the Pitchkhali River.
Our resort, Sundarban Wild Camp, stands beside the Pitchkhali River and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mangrove landscape. After arrival, enjoy a hot lunch at the resort.
In the afternoon, continue your Sundarban sightseeing by boat. Visit Bird’s Island and Sunset Point, and then return to the resort.
In the evening, enjoy tea and snacks. After that, experience an entertaining Adivasi Jhumur dance performance by local tribal artists. Finally, enjoy dinner at around 9:00 PM and relax for the night.
Day 2 – Sundarban Jungle Safari and Village Experience
After breakfast, report at the jetty at around 8:30 AM. Next, begin an exciting boat cruise towards Sajnekhali Watchtower and the Mangrove Interpretation Centre.
After exploring Sajnekhali, continue deeper into the Sundarban forest. The boat safari takes you through narrow creeks, dense mangroves, and several rivers and channels. During the safari, you may encounter spotted deer, water monitor lizards, monkeys, wild boars, crocodiles, and a Royal Bengal Tiger. Wildlife sightings, however, depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
The safari route may include areas such as Sudhanyakhali, Bonbibi Bharani, Sunderkhali, Pirkhali, Dobanki, and Panchmukhani.
Meanwhile, lunch will be served on the boat or at the resort, depending on the day’s itinerary.
Later, enjoy an evening walk through the native village of Jamespur. This village experience gives you an opportunity to observe local lifestyles, traditional crafts, food habits, and rural culture.
In the evening, relax with tea and snacks. Then, enjoy a cultural programme featuring Baul folk songs. Dinner will be served at approximately 9:00 PM.
Day 3 – Gosaba Sightseeing and Return to Kolkata
Wake up at around 7:00 AM and enjoy breakfast at approximately 8:30 AM. After breakfast, check out from the resort and proceed towards Gosaba.
Here, visit the historic Hamilton Bungalow and Rabindranath Tagore Bungalow. These attractions add a cultural and historical dimension to your Sundarban holiday.
After lunch, proceed towards Godkhali Jetty. From there, continue your return journey to Kolkata and complete your Sundarban Holi tour.
